Bill Tobin is a native of northern New Hampshire. He has played harp since 1989 when he began taking lessons with Stephanie Curcio at the University of New Hampshire. In 1998 he released his first CD entitled A Breath of Fresh Air. In 2000 he released a holiday recording called Laura’s Gift. In 2002 he released an album called Heron Rising and in 2006 he released a recording inspired by his walks in the White Mountains entitled Nature’s Peace. Bill is a harp steward at the New Hampshire Highland Games where he has won numerous awards including the 1996 New England Scottish Harp Championship. Bill presently teaches mathematics at the Cabot School in Cabot, VT. He is an avid Scottish Country Dancer, outdoor enthusiast and chess player. Bill lives with his wife Laura and their son Liam in St. Johnsbury, VT.
