notes
After losing the lower portion of his right arm in 1989, bassist Bill Clements has continued to play and develop a uniquely individual style. Owing to such influences as Jaco Pastorius, Percy Jones, Rocco, and Charles Mingus, Bill's music is an expressive blend of jazz and rock. With a strong improvisational component this CD charts the bassists ten year musical journey. Bill was featured in the June 2005 issue of Bass Player Magazine: "Frenetic with a unique sense of high energy mania underpinned by agitated technically curious bass lines.....Going places technically and musically that would be daring for most bassists."

author: KellyWicked sick CD! Wish I could play bass that well. Groove on!
SEE. BELIEVE.
author: AndyI played in a rock band that had the good fortune of doing a gig with Bill when he was with his brother in Killswitch (formerly Selling Heaven). They dusted the stage with our ass, but I was mostly blown away by bill's passion. Were he not so genuinely gifted, the hook would be a cheap distraction (even if the story of how he got it sucks you in). Instead, it acts as a reminder that TRUE talent can't be repressed. To watch him writhe, creating that wicked sound with his left hand was, well, inspirational. To know that he's getting the respect and exposure he deserves is really satisfying. The Selling Heaven cassette I had was practically worn out by the time I lost it. I'd do anything to get that recording back. This fucker's the real deal.

This CD is excellent. Very original. I'm always happy to hear someone being an inovator on the bass. Few bass players dare to take risks and do something that's never been done before. Obviously, I've never heard something like this before. Very refreshing. The first few tracks are some kind of industrial punk jazz tracks (hard to categorize in fact) that are truly mind-blowing while the last few tracks are true rockers with great vocals too. A 10 out of 10.
A true stylist
author: Marc BlumTo me Bill found his own voice on the bass. A true stylist hardly compareable to someone else. Though the music on the CD is not for the average listener, lovers of prog, jazzrock and others out genres will like it.
Bill is an inspiration.
author: clenchThe cd might not be for everyone but I support Bill's effort. Even though the music is " out there " at times, there is plenty of great bass work.
