The Big Spank “Funky-Latin-Punkish-Ska-Pop”. The Big Spank has been performing across the southwest since 1998.
The Big Spank transitioned from playing mostly weekend shows (while maintaining day jobs) into living gypsy-style in a converted school bus and touring full time, spreading their love in the form of feel-good tunes that beg, borrow, and steal from ska, rock, soul, R&B, hip hop, death metal, polka, Norteño, and other genres. Their stage antics and high-energy live performances are not soon forgotten.
The Big Spank includes Bert Lujan (Drums), Mike García (Guitar/Vocals/Accordian), Retzen (Trombone), Chris Tickner (Bass Guitar), and Javier Sandoval (Guitar, Vocals).
Full length self-produced CD’s include “Gypsy Rug Burn” 2007, “Random Acts of Spank” 2004, and “Waiting For Retzen” 2001.

author: CatieSo basically I love this album! I listen to it just about every day and love every song. If I'm having an off day, I'll just pop Gypsy Rug Burn into my CD player, drive around Albuquerque jamming with my windows down and everything's cool again!
