notes

Robert Hughes a.k.a.

BIG ROB is a self-contained production company, writing, producing, performing and mixing his original music.

Being frustrated time after time by mediocre sound engineering and production he pursued his own visions as producer, artist, and engineer.

Knowing that going into a recording contract as just an artist would lead to certain failure, he decided to take his time and build his own production company.

In 1994 he recorded and sold over four hundred copies of his cassette single entitled "Shake".

After finding that retail record outlets were asking for a full album, he began revamping his entire recording process in order to meet the demand.

It's taken a while but he is now able to produce recordings comparable in quality to that of major labels.

Rob has worked musically with artist from the Gap Band to Charlie Pride.

Rob is currently promoting his new EP cd entitled "The Intro" that contains the #1 downloaded jam on the MP3.com Old School Chart for 5 straight days in July 2003.

Be sure to check out "Live It Up Tonite" on the cdbaby website and visit his site at: www.bigrobjamz.com.

If you are a fan of Old School groups Like The Gap Band,Guy,Parliament,Funkadelics and Rick James, we think that you'll find Rob's music very entertaining.

I'm more of a jazz man, so I would like to hear more instrumental music. This CD has a good clean sound and great beats and arrangement. Why can't we just all get along is great song. It's a fun CD with good clean lyrics and great sound.

I love this CD, the lyrics can be understood and there is no profanity which is a plus as well. All music is not good music and I must say that this CD most definitely is good music!!

  • The songs on this cd have an instant classic quality!!!

From the thump'n dance flair of Live It Up Tonite, to the smooth swing of Why Can't We Just Get Along, one knows that a true stash of musical treasures has been found. If these Old School Seasoned Melodies weren't enough, the artist reveals yet another transition of his talents through the slow, sensual and thought provoking flows of his single, I've Been Watching You. I fully believe this hot new show of talents is a definite must-have for any cd collection.

  • Slammin' CD!
