THIS CD AVAILABLE DIGITALLY AT ITUNES.COM.
San Diego's The Big Provider is on the verge of big things as they prepare to release Monkey Crate (May 2002), their first full length C.D. After one short year as a vital part of the Southern California music scene, the trio of Eli Taylor and brothers Jackson Price and Joey California have received widespread acclaim as well as airplay on local San Diego Radio Stations (91X and 92.1).
With a sound that defies classification (although one critic was heard to suggest a cross between Paul Simon and The Red Hot Chili Peppers) and stage presence that is a marvel to behold, The Big Provider's live performances have continually surprised, entertained, and excited crowds at venues ranging from The Casbah (S.D.), The Belly Up Tavern (S.D.), and The Zen Lounge (L.A.) to The University of San Diego and California State University at Monterey, as well as national events such as the ESPN/Hooters 2 Minute Drill. As performers and musicians, The Big Provider is sure to continue breaking the bounds of popular music as it is known.
What do people say about The Big Provider?
"They inspire me."
"My knees were weak!"

Knee trembling - toe throwing - mouth watering magic.
author: senor jam, the San Diego SceneFinally, a CD that nearly captures the rapture and spirit of a hell-fire, boot-swinging live band. The perfect CD to have playing in your car when you pick up the ladies. If you can't afford it, steal it. Trust me.
Energy, Musicianship, Promise of Most Excellent Things to Come
author: Capt. B. MorganThe Big Provider: all the name implies and then some. Every song is a witty, and sometimes emotionally charged, musical twist that keeps you bumping all day. I've had the album for a couple months and have been listening to this crew for a while and all I can say is... great things are in store for the world of music.
EVERY SINGLE SONG!!!
author: AmeliaFor the first time in my life, I bought a CD and discovered that I love EVERY song!!I can't even begin to describe this group, except to say that LIVE they are even BETTER!!! Thank you TBP for giving us some REAL music!
Plenty of Providing going on...
author: Matt Long - Smithfield, R.I.Get this CD soon or continue to live the same monotonous, mainstream, and musically deprived life you most likely have been involuntarily participating in for the past twenty some odd years. TBP provides you with the chance to change all that with Monkey Crate. Ride the revolution or live in the past...it's up to you.
