Portland's very own, Big Island Shindig have completed recording and released their second studio CD titled, High Five!
The CD has a fresh look, a fresh sound and features 12 amazingly tight songs which range from progressive jazz to ballets, to pure rock! The variety of what Shindig can bring to a show, or put down on CD is what separates them from the rest of the "jamband" bands.
This CD will have you rocking out, groovin hard, and certainly feeling the energy!

High Five! It's back. Forget about the hand shake.....
author: PDX ProductionsThis new CD from BIS is unlike their debut cd in many ways, a new bass player, new structure, new open ended jams. The cd starts out with a true Rock Jam, The Top. They have certainly set the bar higher and created a new catagory of music, Jam Rock. The cd takes you on a journey, from pure rock jams to country jam-esq, Chemical Nation, onto slower more heartfelt songs and then the cd closes with some heavy funk, Sweet Potato Red. A solid 10 minute song, this one alone with take you on a ride. This CD has a variety factor. Rock>Electrafied Grass Rock>Blues Funk>Story Stompin Strummin Jam>Inspirational>DISCO FUNK!!! If you listen to this CD and not have the urge to dance, consult your therapist.
