Beyond Veronica banded in the spring of 2002 and have found their niche with a retro, power pop sound and sexy style to boot. Just when pioneering female rock 'n roll rebels such as The Runaways, Blondie and The Avengers seemed to be a thing of the past, front woman Bonnie Veronica took the reins and led her band into a resurgence of what was all but lost in the mainstream. This accomplished five-piece ensemble is decidedly distinctive in every aural arena.

A driving force of edgy, power pop
author: Amie AlthaeaBeyond Veronica's premier self-titled CD is a pretty package that positively mirrors the gift inside... a selection of punchy power pop tunes that are catchy, yet contemplative. "With Love" is the anthemic intro, reflecting some secretive sarcasm with a determined, good-time party vibe. The rock-n-roll trio of "Revelation", "Freedom" and "Find It" follow suit with memorable melodies and an amazing, layered labyrinth of experienced guitar and bass lines, haunting organ and a mix of complementing back-up vocals. Incidentally, "Find It" was originally featured on the soundtrack for "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" and Beyond Veronica makes it their own in this exclusive cover. It is THE premier album to have this year... highly recommended.
