It appears that old school and new school metal gave birth to a talented little bastard, pumped him full of steroids and sent him off to play.

notes
Best Friend Solitude takes the “old school” approach of power and aggression and mixes it up with the “new school” version of sound and style. However, this is not just your straight up metal band. B.F.S. finds a way to make the basic original, and in turn, make the original unforgettable. The guitar driven chops and unforgiving rhythms are without question the core of the band. Top it off with vocals that range from all out grind core, to melodic and pensive, throw in the unexpected, and the result is a band that’s truly one of a kind. Its members, Rich Bova (guitars), Chip Calise (drums), Dave Vogel (bass) and Mike D. (vocals), are supporting their latest CD, “Beyond All This”, throughout the east coast. The only thing to say about their live performance is that no one can touch them, period, end of story, game over. Do yourself a favor, and check out Best Friend Solitude. If you’re a fan of metal, Beyond All This is a must-have, and Best Friend Solitude is a must-see.
