Born & raised in NJ, Jennifer’s early passion for music began while listening to some of our greatest storytellers, The Beatles, James Taylor & Carole King. At an early age, being raised by her grandparents, she was exposed to Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra & Billie Holiday. Around this time Jennifer began performing & singing for anybody who’d listen! As a teenager, she became influenced by the song-writing & voices of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Donny Hathaway & Elton John. It was at this point when she began studying with acclaimed teacher & mentor Nanette Natal. Eager to hone her song-writing skills & musicianship, she enrolled in The Jazz Program at The New School in NYC. While there, Jennifer became drawn to the blues. It was then when she realized, that she’d never put a limit on her style. She garnered the vocal ability, to make any genre of music her own.
Jennifer’s writing & singing ability continued to flourish. She was saturated in the NYC music scene performing & recording with an extensive array of musicians, including members of The SNL Band, Hall & Oates, The Blues Brothers, Ben E. King, Darlene Love, Late Show w/David Letterman Band & The Jazz Expressions... to name a few.
At this point through a chance meeting with Paul Jackson & Bennie Maupin of The Headhunters, she was led to Japan. Simultaneously, her friendship with Little Jimmy Scott led her to Europe. In 2000, Jennifer went on the road & toured in Japan, Europe & The Netherlands for several years. She came back to NJ in 2003 wanting to take a break from performing & to begin recording her Cd.
A once in a lifetime opportunity presented itself, when a mutual friend introduced her to Anthony Krizan of The Spin Doctors. Anthony's well-crafted songs & musicianship, coupled with Jennifer's soulful voice, set the stage for an exciting collaboration. The finished product, her debut Cd “There’s A Reason” shows her diversity as a vocalist, combining funk, blues, folk, country & gospel all infused with a pop feel & her distinctive sound. Whatever Jennifer sings has a universal message, her sincerity is felt in every word, a truthful place of hope, love & loss.
As she invites us in to become a part of her musical journey, Jennifer has built up a loyal & devoted fan base. She reunites with Anthony in the studio in 2008 for her sophomore Cd. Her love of performing, travel, waking up in new cities & experiencing the music scene worldwide, will take her on the road to promote her follow-up release in 2008/09.

If I had to choose my favorite songs from this album it would be "Too Much is Never Enough" and "There's a Reason". But every song is amazing and I highly recommend everyone give it a listen.
