Ben Shepherd is an 18 year old professional freelance Upright/Electric Bassist from Wellington, New Zealand. He is off to study at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California along side legends such as Charlie Haden, Alphonso Johnson, Joe LaBarbera, Larry Koonse and many others.
He has worked along side top New Zealand Jazz musicians such as: Leigh Jackson, Kirsten MacKenzie, Charmaine Ford, Roger Sellers, Lance Phillip, Richard Wise, Nick Granville, Vaughn Roberts, James Wiley, Miles Crayford, Blair Latham, The Royal New Zealand Central Airforce Big Band, The New Zealand High Schools Jazz Orchestra and many more.....
