Charles was born on January 8, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles and Debra Ann Bennett. Charles’ parents did not remain married and he lived the majority of his younger years with his mother. During this time he had little contact with his father. His desire to sing was birthed at a very young age while observing his aunt would put on talent shows with his sisters and cousins at her home in East Fall projects: from this his desire to sing grew.

At age 11, young Charles went to live with his father. Shortly after his move, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. Growing up in Christ-Like Assembly Church in Philadelphia, Charles began singing in choirs as well as performing solos. In 1990, while attending Martin Luther King High School, he joined his first singing group. Throughout his high school years, Charles sang with many groups around the city of Philadelphia as well as performed in New York City at the Apollo.

In 1995, after straying away from God, Charles enlisted in the Unites States Air Force. In October 1998 he rededicated his life to the Lord and one month later he married the love of his life, Talisha Fisher. In 1999, he, along with Savaslas Lofton, founded the group later known as Emmanuel. It was during this time period that he truly began to recognize the gifts that God placed in him.

At the conclusion of this chapter of his life, Charles received orders by the USAF to Osan AB, Republic of Korea. Though it was a rough time being apart from his wife and 4 children, it was there that God began to do a new thing in his life. While learning more about real ministry, Charles also learned about himself. Later that year he met a young man named Shaute Byrd, a producer and studio engineer. Having been in various groups for over 10 years, Charles launched out into an area unbeknownst to him and began recording solo for the first time.

After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Charles began working full time on his first solo project, which was released in May 2005. Since that time, Charles has been seen on KSCE TV in El Paso Texas. He has also performed at Dr. Mikel Browns ‘Dream Your Way to Success Seminar’, as well as the Evangelical Christian Church Ministries Annual Church Conference.

    This CD is designed just for you. No matter what you're going through in life, these songs minister directly to the heart and spirit of everyone, especially the born-again believer. These are not ordinary songs; these songs are anointed, and it is the anointing that destroys the yokes in your life (Isaiah 10:27). I'm really looking forward to the next CD from Minister Bennett!

  • A life experienced and not just written.

    I believe that this CD is awesome. One of my favorite songs is Don't Worry. I see that his family is a part of this song and this shows that his ministry begins at home. But to hear his kids proclaiming the Word of God is awesome. God bless you and I'll be looking for the next CD to come.

    My favorite song, personally, is "A Test of Your Faith". That song certainly helps when you are going through, but the whole CD is absolutely fabulous and I recommend it to every Christian! God Bless!
