Recorded in one fell swoop on a sweltering July night in New York City, "The Rivington Sessions" is Benjamin Wagner unfettered.
Producer Guy Benny was manning the mixer in his Lower East Side studio, The Space. Wagner plugged in his Martin acoustic, and tape rolled.
Five songs -- including three from his forthcoming "Heartland" LP, a cover of Wilco's "I'm Always In Love," and the chestnut, "Dear Elizabeth -- and a few hours later, "The Rivington Sessions" was made.
Hear it for yourself.
