notes

The Beloved Invaders are Colorado’s premier surf instrumental group. Tamarindo is their 3rd and most creative CD, incorporating a variety of genres and influences into the primarily original tunes.

"This is one of those CD's that's a bit of a hybrid, with some very sophisticated writing and liquid playing; a CD that straddles the line between surf and not in may ways. There's elements of the Blues Project, rock jams, scene music, jazz, and surf. Adventurous and very enjoyable. It took a while to engage me, but once it did, I was hooked."

-Phil Dirt, reverbcentral.com

"Just finished listening to 'TAMARINDO', the new CD from THE BELOVED INVADERS, for, like, the 6th time in a row....I admit it before the world, I am addicted to their lush, deep, reverb, and what sounds like triple-picking at times from their lead guitarist BOB CANNISTRARO; this is a wide mix (even proving that a violin can twang!) of neat covers and drivin' originals. Hey, one would never suspect that THE BELOVED INVADERS are landlocked in DENVER, COLORADO because I can hear the surf coming though loud and clear. THIS IS A MUST-HAVE CD."

-Unsteady Freddie, twangshebang.com

"Tamarindo is a great CD! I think I enjoy the variety of songs the most. From the very Ventures inspired tunes to the powerful, solid songs like the title track. It’s an awesome collection of tunes. Excellent playing all the way around. Very nice!"

-Clint Beachwood, KCR Radio, San Diego State University

Wow, it's awesome, exactly the kind of surf rock I really dig. The instrumental version of Bryan Hiland's, Sealed with a Kiss is brilliant. Keep up the goood work guys and for Pete's sake record another disc SOON!!!!
