BeatNam Vets Music Production, LLC.: revolutionary music group consisting of producers/CEO, Jonah Hakim and Joshua Rahim, and lyrical vocal composer/emcee/Co.CEO, Solomon.
Together, the three use music as a weapon to speak for those who can't speak for themselves. Their latest project, The “R” album, is lyrically forced by Solomon.
In addition to writing the album, Solomon is an incredible ghostwriter. Throughout his life he has been influenced by leaders such as Fred Hampton, Assata Shakur, Malcom X, Angela Davis, Leonard Peltier, Dhoruba Al-Mujahid, and Nelson Mandela, just to name a few. Not only a music messiah, but Solomon is also a messenger, where Allah's words flow from him through a microphone to the people.
All great lyrics need great music pushing it, and that is where Jonah and Joshua Vincent shine their brightest. Since the age of two, the twins have been influenced by artists from Curtis Mayfield, Herbie Hancock, and The Count Basie Big Band to Third Eye Blind, Maroon 5, and many others in-between. In addition to producing, the brothers are also true musicians. Jonah, trumpet player, has performed with Antonio Hart; the legendary drummer, Ed Thigpen; and James Brown's Trombonist, Fred Wesley. Joshua not only plays the trombone in NCCU’s Jazz Big Band, but also uses his musical gift along with his education in history to lead his brothers and sisters to mental freedom. Their high level of talent and extra-ordinary skill has allowed the brothers to express themselves through music all across the country; from New York to New Orleans, Atlanta to Los Angeles.
When placed together, all three of them create music that will change the world. Beatnam Vets’ sound is like nothing you've ever heard before, yet something the world definitely needs more of. The time has come for our people to rage, rule, realize their royalty, react, realize reality, re-enforce resistance, rebel, righteously rebirth, remember, and regain; THE “R” ALBUM.

Bone Chilling!
author: Deshannon MorrisA lot of rappers coming out now talk about drugs, money and cars. Commercialism is a fad. Hip hop music goes through so many changes. That's why these other rappers become one hit wonders. These guys have that music that lasts. I know when these guys break indie, they will have that ten, twenty album run.
The "R" Album is moving, empowering, revolutionary, raw, and unfiltered.
author: Keyanna GreeneI love the beats! Solomon is a very talented rapper. There were times I thought I was listening to Nas. His lyrics were that deep. My favorite song is "To My Sistas." It is absolutely breath taking. Especially when most of the songs out now put black women down. I can play that song in front of my mother, or my daughter. It represents so many sides of black women. I also like Gangsta I and II. The titles threw me off. I was expecting to hear songs about gang banging, or drugs and money. But, the songs were about the effects of living negative along with some great story lines. 50 cent, Jim Jones, and all you other rappers better get your weight up. Because when these guys make it big, a lot of you will loose your careers.
