Batars "shorts" is 14 tracks of instrumental niceness, I can only think to describe this cd as a post-rock soundtrack to a preschool documentary. Lo-fi, mostly instrumental ponderings, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, something to listen to when you get off of work.
Recommended for fans of Tristeza, Aerial M and Do Make Say Think.

The Batars consist of Gabe - Guitar, Zach - Bass, Jon - Drums and Mike - Keyboards. Zach now plays bass for the math rock group Nap Attack! and Jon plays in the Embers (now called shaking hands) which both have tracks on the monosyllabic 001 compilation.

  • Relaxing and melodic, instrumental post rock

This cd is just that, simple and nice and really hits the spot when I'm in the need for exactly that. Relaxing and melodic, instrumental post rock. It sounds lo-fi like the band recorded it themselves, but its something I actually find endearing... it's part of what gives it it's charm.
