notes

Confession was recorded in 1995 by Denny Bridges, assistant engineer to George Martin of Beatles fame throughout the 1980s.

It is a warm, soothing recording, but also deep and personal and at times deeply moving.

Many of Bar's fans report that they listen to this CD to calm down or when they are feeling in need of comfort.

Bar performs primarily on acoustic guitar, but also on piano in several songs.

She is accompanied by Carol Sharar on viola and violin, Mary Schneider on french horn, Jay Scott on acoustic guitars, Josh Neretin on percussion and John Arbo and Peter Schoenberger on bass.

Reviews for this record continue to be outstanding.

A good CD to have in your collection.

  • Confession is Good for the Soul!
    author: Kevin Robinson/No Bull Productions

Confession is a masterpiece. Amish women, I have read, always leave one flaw in every quilt they create. Bar Scott's beautifully crafted CD, Confession, would fail to pass that Amish tradition. I find it flawless every time I play it. (If it was a "wax" LP, I would have worn it out long ago.) For me, "When the Hero Falls" stirs the soul, "Write Me a Love Letter" rends the heart, and "I'm Here" refreshes the spirit. Bar Scott does all this and so much more, proving that Confession really is good for the soul. Looking for a new favorite CD? This one will definitely fill the bill!

  • "Confession" is a glowing example of Bar Scott's artistry.
    author: Marcia Woolley

"Confession" is one of my favorite Bar Scott CDs. Bar's personal blues/jazz style and her deep, rich voice surround her songs with warmth and feeling. The orchestrations and the mix are first-rate. Whenever I listen to this CD, any stress or negativity I might be feeling that day is melted away. Bar Scott's artistry truly shines in this CD.
