The Seventh Veil featuring the Artie Barsamian Ensemble
The orchestra consists of Artie on clarient, Eddie Siranosian on sax, Eli Nazarian on oud, Mal Barsamian on dumbeg, Sarkie Sarkisian on conga and Vaughn Barsamian on tambourine.
The Seventh Veil is one of Artie Barsamian's most popular recordings. Barsamian's musical career began at the age of 8 when his father(a well-known violinist) bought him his first clarinet. Under his father's direction, Artie became a serious student of Armenian and Middle Eastern music. Eventually, Barsamian became nationally recognized not only for his Middle Eastern music playing but his Big Band sounds.
This CD contains the following tracks: Seventh Veil, Echoes from the Orient, Haleh, Seeror Yar, Geozlarin), Yoru Yurvroom Yoru, Procession of the Sadar, Halvaji, Laz Bar, Tamzara, Oud Fantasy and Siroon Aghchig.
