Sarah Barchas was teacher and school librarian for over 30 years and also has a background in ranching. She is a singer/songwriter and small independent publisher of songs and storytelling for children and families. She combines her love of children and animals in this CD of animal activity songs filled with fun and zest, with the De Colores Chorus. These 24 dynamic and expressive songs include over 70 animals of farm, zoo, circus, pets, wild animals, habitats, and dinosaurs.
This CD, as do most of her other CD's for children, includes a paperback illustrated book with the lyrics to all the songs. The attractive 36-page book entices children to read-along as they sing-along. Children can have fun and shared joy acting out the songs with enthusiasm and creative response, sometimes wanting to add their own unique variations.
All children love to sing, and children of all ages are fascinasted by animals. This sound recording of 24 original, traditional and adapted songs combines children's natural interest in animals with their natural enjoyment of song.
