NEW LIFE TO OLD SHOES
author: BRUCE WAYWonderful voice. She breathes new life into these standards and makes them her own. Great musicians behind her. An album that will stand the test of time.
Fabulous!!!
author: Theresa MembrinoI only recently discovered Barbara Morrison when looking for a song for our wedding dance. She is everything you could want in a jazz vacalist...Every song on this CD is rich with tenderness and emotion yet maintains the fun and freedom at the heart of jazz. The arrangements are great and her love for the music comes through in every note. Needles to say, I'll be buying the collection! (PS- We used "I Love Being Here With You".)
Touch of Jazz
author: R.B. DuncanVersatile and soulful vocalist with class, sophisication, and understanding of song. Ms. Morrison's knowledge of each song is a living example of all the legendary female jazz vocalists, mixed in one, bringing audiences a genuine product of jazz at it's best. Her work with the Count Basie Orchestra, Joe Williams, James Moody, and Kenny Burrell are just a few of the jazz legends that've worked with the irreplacable singer. She is worth every minute to listen to! She'll knock your socks off with her energetic voice, charming soul, and infectious attitude. You just can't help enjoying her music.
Fantastic, every song is great.
