notes
“Wow, I play this CD the most out of my entire collection!” That’s what people say when they get a listen to this CD. It often becomes their favorite classical CD. Impress your friends with the fact that you’ve added some culture in your life, and it won’t be at all painful! You’ll find yourself thinking “Hey, I’ve heard that one before”, and you’ll realize that opera’s not so stuffy after all.

I agree with the reviewer above, Ms. Divis deserves to be more widely known. I have some quibbles with some of her musical interpretations, but absolutely none with her voice!
A winning recital
author: Lawrence DevoeThis is a wonderful recital which Ms Divis graces with warm and thoughtful interpretations of familiar roles. The Puccini selections reveal a voice which is well-suited to these soprano roles. The Menotti selection, rarely heard, is a real find. Not to be missed by vocal fans
Loved it, Purity of tone...great instrument....Why is this singer not more known
author: kate bresslerI loved this singer's purity of tone. Her sustained notes are without wobble or loss of volume. She is great....she deserves to be more widely known.
Most enjoyable- am seeing Tosca in Sept. and trying to acquaint myself
author: Linda SkovI enjoyed both of the c.d.s I ordered. Barbara Divis has a beautiful and rich voice. Thank you!
