notes
Ballyhoo! has been touring the country in their pimp conversion van, spreading the music from coast to coast in support of their 2006 release "Do It For the Money!". Selling over 6,000 hard copies and more than 20,000 downloads through iTunes and various other digital stores worldwide, the band shows no signs of stopping.
With a new record set for launch in early spring '08, the guys are planning to tour a lot more to support it. "We've been playing for so long, it'd be weird to stop now. 'Do It For the Money!' has really opened a lot doors for us and has spread like wildfire in the underground", says frontman Howi Spangler. The band looks forward to getting back on the road to rock the new songs for the core fans, "I can't wait for people to hear the new stuff", says Howi, "we've really taken what we've done in the past and built on top of it, adding more edge to the rock songs and more melody to the reggae. This record's got rock, reggae, acoustic, and even some power ballads!"
It's only going to get bigger for Ballyhoo!, so keep your ears to the ground. The sky is NOT the limit. Look for the band to be in your town in 2008. And if you get a hold of the music, burn it and give to your friends!

Must-Have Album!
author: J.Ballyhoo! would gladly have you think they’re just another good times bar band, coming to your town to drink some beer and maybe crash on your couch, but with this release they’re going to have a hard time staying under the radar. With their latest release, Ballyhoo! serves up the perfect summer party soundtrack, yet at the same time it shows the band pushing in other creative directions and really showing off their musicianship and songwriting skills. The first-rate studio work brings Ballyhoo!’s talents to the forefront, and fans will note the decidedly balls-out drumming; big, fat, juicy bass; chunky guitars; and razor sharp scratches. Yet superb songwriting, sweet melodies, catchy hooks, and singer Howi covering a much wider range vocally all add up to songs that you, your buds, and your girlfriend’s cousin’s superhot neighbor will all love equally. Cheers provides a snapshot of a band ready for the big time: it’s addictively fun to listen to, and it belongs at the top of your Summer 2008 playlist. 100% recommended.
Better than Do It For The Money
author: timThe song writing is beyond great. It is so damn good i really can't tell you how good. You just have to listen. Howi's voice is so crisp and clean. He sure knows how to sing and write. Ballyhoo! is going to be so huge soon. It's bound to happen. Highlights are (besides every song) Phantoms, the new version of Everything (which rocks so much harder), Somewhere Tropical, Close to Me, Drag, Cheers!, Paper Dolls, the whole album. and an mp3 purchase from cdbaby has 91% of your money going to the artists
