notes

Julie is an eclectic singer/songwriter who began her music career as a teenager writing contemporary gospel.

She and her partner-husband released 4 recordings in the 1980's (cassette and 12" vinyl) before she ventured into the secular music world and a myriad of studios, song demos and almost-big-record-deals.

Her pop debut album, Words Keep Falling, took more than a few reviewers by surprise. What began as a small Minneapolis record label project in 1992 was ultimately released on the artist's own label, Soap Box Records, in Autumn 1997.

Since its release, songs from Words Keep Falling have been featured in prime-time programming on CBS and NBC, given college airplay in the Midwest as well a featured on commercial and public radio in the US, Canada, Belgium, the UK, France and Russia.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press called Words Keep Falling "a terrific new album of ornate adult pop"

Jim Santo's Demo Universe declared it "an engaging solo debut"

And the Chicago Star Newspapers described it as "A fast ear-winner and strong first release."

An original singer/songwriter performing accessible, insightful and irresistible pop.
