notes

Bad Excuse is a three piece pop punk/ska band from Madison, WI. Through the failures of other bands in their early high school years and in the molds of bands such as Goldfinger and Green Day, the trio came together. They reached their height of popularity in 1998, when 'On My Own' was showcased on local alternative radio stations 92.1 WMAD and 89.9 WORT. They began recording for their first full length album 'Evergreen Terrace.'

The new album includes songs like 'PS 147' with cutting guitars and catchy vocals to ska features like 'RATS.' The album also contains remixed tracks from the previously released 5 song CD 'On My Own' which was a big success in the Madison area.

Recently the band has been showcased on more local stations, including 91.7 WSUW in Whitewater. This CD 'Evergreen Terrace' features 12 original songs. In addition to Bad Excuse, Paul and Rick played in their high school jazz band. Rick is also currently in a hard rock band called Seven Pound Seizure. Songs like 'Addiction' show the versatility that the guys can offer. This is definitely a worthwhile CD.
