Aya was born in 1983 in Sapporo city, Hokkaido, northern area in Japan. After graduating, she spent a few years to do liveshows in the tokyo nightclubs. In 2004 she released first album "Jibun" (mekiki RECORDS).
"When I play music and sing, it makes me aware of my weakness, helpless. but if not, I would have not been consious about myself by my own from the heart. It helps me to encounter what and who I am." (Aya Tanosaki)
