AVIS HARRELL RELEASES A NEW A PATRIOTIC R&B SINGLE
Los Angeles, California – Nearly a year after her debut solo release, “Self Contained”, Avis Harrell returns with “I’ll Be Here When You Return”, a deluxe single release dedicated to the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The smooth mid-tempo ballad is paired with Harrell’s take on “America The Beautiful”, a song Harrell recorded as a Raelette with Ray Charles. To complete the package, a music video/mini movie for both songs is included. The deluxe edition release is available at www.cdbaby.com/avis2.
“I’ll Be Here When You Return” is inspired by “Wish You Were Here With Me”, a Vietnam-era ballad Harrell performed with her sisters, as The Fawns. “Wish You Were Here With Me” became an underground soul classic, telling a story of a young woman’s devotion to her lover overseas fighting in the war and is still being played today on local radio stations in Washington D.C. Harrell revisits the theme with a slightly more mature groove. The vibraphone shades on “I’ll Be Here When You Return” offer a subtle tribute to “Wish You Were Here With Me”.
Her recording of “America The Beautiful.” Offers full gospel fervor with a contemporary edge to the song whose definitive rendition was recorded by her former boss and mentor, Ray Charles. The song is Harrell’s tip of the hat to her time with Ray Charles. Once again, she has arranged, played & produced a project that I’m sure will be enjoyed for years to come.

author: Dr. RolandAvis, your performance at the celebration, told me that your music should be shared around the world, and so I did just that on My Show, as we are heard around the world on the Internet, and we get phone calls and Post cards from all over. And since it was the Memorial Holiday, and we have millions of young men and women away from home, representing the USA in a uniform, nothing could have been more appropriate than "I'll be here, when you return." Sweetheart, your "Tribute Dedicated To Our Troops," spoke for the millions of family and friends here in the homeland, waiting for their Love ones'. This will be played often on my show with an encouragement for my listeners to ge their own copy.

Avis is one of those rare artist who not only delivers great music but always has a positive and uplifting message in her music. The title track "I'll Be Here When You Return" is a bonafide hit that showcases Avis' beautiful vocals and songwriting skills to the max. The song brought tears to my eyes after hearing the lyric and listening to Avis' beautiful voice yearning and pleading for our troops to come home safely. This song could be the number one anthem of all anthems that's dedicated to our brave troops. Also included on the CD is Avis' great interpretation of the standard tune "America The Beautiful." Her gospel tinged vocals are nothing short of miraculous. This powerful song showcases Avis' full vocal range and the many beautiful colors and tones of her voice. Also included in with this lovely CD is a wonderful photo spread featuring many photos of Avis beautiful face and very sexy body. There is also a DVD featuring music videos of the two hit songs I mentioned earlier. The music videos were done very professionally and they not only feature Avis' incredible singing voice but her acting skills as well. When I first heard that she had just released a new CD called "A Tribute Dedicated to Our Troops" I knew I had to purchase it right away. Avis' CD arrived in the mail today and I couldn't wait to play it. To all of Avis' fans out there, you guys have to get this new CD. The new tune "I'll Be Here When You Return" is so powerful and the lyric is very touching. Avis is reaching out to our troops and you can hear the yearning and pleading in her singing voice for a miracle to happen to bring our troops home. This song made me tear up because of the strong emotional impact that comes through Avis'singing. Avis's rendition of the traditional standard song "American the Beautiful" is just as touching to listen too. She really gives her all vocally with this song. When you purchase the new CD by Avis you not only get some great music, you also get a spectacular color photo spread of her beautiful face and sexy body along with a beautiful DVD music video featuring both songs. So she has stepped up to the plate and created a Tribute Our Troops and it is awesome folks! Oh the title? I'll Be Here When You Return, her music and her words, you've gotta see and hear it! And all of us know the power and glory of America The Beautiful and of course these are not her words and music but she is sensational. She’s playing all the music!
