AUTOMAG is a heavy metal freight train from North Carolina that blends vintage Metallica with Clutch, COC, Black Label Society and a Southern twist on this concept album debut. Led by the Mighty Quinn on lead guitar/vocals, these Southern boys sink their hook-laden power riffs into you right from the first minute of the first track and never let go! After over a decade in the trenches, AUTOMAG, and their newly forged alliance with Rockadrome, are ready to storm the scene with all guns blazing!

“HELLBOUND” is a concept record of a different design. Instead of the songs telling the whole story, they represent only a moment in each scene. The scenes are described to the reader inside the packaging. This approach was intended to allow every listener/reader to take their own interpertation of the story while allowing each song to stand on it’s own. All this comes housed in an awesome custom designed fold-out digipack.

    The CD closes with title track - commencing with acoustic guitar and lyrics that would make the late Waylon Jennings proud. This song finishes the album like a beer chaser after the last shot of whole-grain sour mash. Though the CD is a tad under-produced, the tone adds to the gritty, southern metal sound. Concept records ain't dead and this is all the proof you need. Automag is about to put Johnston County North Carolina on the map...for more than just its moonshine.
