Abbi Spinner McBride is a High Priestess of the Family of Fire, a skilled fire-circle faciliatator, and a clear channel for the Muse.... Her songs are sung at fire circles around the world, and are known for creating and enthusing a unified group mind. Spinner believes that through music, magic, mystery and fire, all things are possible, and all dreams are within our reach. When she's not creating or performing original music, she is practicing the kora, bellydance, magic and meditation.
Fire of Creation is Spinner's second CD, following on the hugely successful Enter the Center. This new album represents the continuing evolution of her musical
work, weaving piano, synthesizer, tabla, and a variety of other percussion instruments into a rich sonic tapestry.

The astute listener will have no trouble at all imagining what it would be like to be in the sonic elixir that the Family of Fire so regularly brews. (...there might be a hundred or more people dancing the Circle, ecstatically singing these songs - with all the layers - accompanied by live music!) I especially applaud the inclusion of the Angel Invocation and Surrounded By Light, as they bring me straight back to a very special Saturday night opening in the Valley of Fire. It's such a delight to hear Spinner's instrumental arrangements, as they reveal new depth and nuance of the invocations these songs contain. For those of us who know and love Spinner, this CD is a guaranteed portal opener to a myriad of juicy memories, deep meditation, and hours of sing-along joy. author: ChasmodiMmmm. I just received my copy of "Fire Of Creation" and have been listening for two hours. It's breathtaking. Moving. Blissful. Haunting. Honeyed dates for the ears. The sound is so beautifully blended, woven like a warm blanket. Voices compliment and contrast. Tones of sound take these simple chants and turn them into works of genius that lift the imagination. This is art. I think when people hear this they will all agree that it is something special. Every spiritual being who appreciates beauty should have a copy of this. Everyone who worked on this project deserves major kudos. You can hear the love that went into it. The cover art is beautiful too. This music is needed in our world.
