Arrocata is the moniker for electronic composer Robert Straub. Both formally trained and self-taught, Robert’s musical interests and influences span a wide spectrum from Jazz, Progressive Rock, Experimental Ambient, Musique Concrete, Electronica to the Classics. Utilizing a combination of electronic and natural sounds, Robert intuitively weaves a distinctive and sublime sonic experience.
"The Painter" contains a unique collection of Ambient Compositions that are both mysterious and full of intrigue. Within the intricate layers of each track, Robert elicits the emotions of the listener in a way that sparks an interest that steadily increases from the first track to the last.
