notes
Nate Aronow, keyboard player, writer and arranger, has been working the Boston music scene for a number of years, leading several bands such as the Jazz Avengers, the infamous Landlords of Soul, and Nate and the Companions. He has been writing in the jazz and jazz-fusion genres of late, and insists on music with substance and emotion. This newest all-original CD "Hearing Things" is an instrumental and compositional tour de force featuring twelve wildly varied tunes: The samba party of "Joyride", the melodic-meat-on-Hip-Hop-bone of "Bring It On", the three-guitar ominous swamp rock of "Stalkin'", the tribute to Wayne of the jazz world in "Wayne's World", the sweet and innocent "Moneeka". Imagine yourself at 3AM in a French Cafe listening to "Nightripper".... And much, much more!
