NEW 24-BIT MASTERING FROM THE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS !!
Do’a - Randy Armstrong & Ken LaRoche's first album recorded in 1976 and released in 1977 on the Vermont-based Philo Record label and distributed by Rounder Records. This album is a collection of songs composed by Randy Armstrong and Ken LaRoche from 1974 to 1976 featuring flute, guitar, kalimba, sitar and harmonium.
“Thoughtful, sensitive and impressionistic describes the music of Do’a, an Arabic-Persian word signifying a call to prayer, meditation and worship. Using wind, string and percussion instruments from all parts of the world, Randy Armstrong and Ken LaRoche merge classical, jazz, folk and world-wide musical influences, creating a universal and timeless experience. Randy and Ken see the earth as one country, drawing their inspiration from its rich and varied cultural heritage. The music of Do’a reflects their highest hope: the Unity of the Family of Man.”
We introduce you to their first album dedicated to this hope.”
- Robert Atkinson, Ph.D., co-author of The Beat Of My Drum: An Autobiography by Babatunde Olatunji and professor at the University of Southern Maine
