notes
A legend in the Texas hill counry, Arkey Blue is a real cowboy, rancher and owner of the historical Silver Dollar Bar in Bandera, Texas.
ARKEY BLUE and the WORLD FAMOUS SILVER DOLLAR BAR
have become legends in their own time.
When ARKEY BLUE and the BLUE COWBOYS start to play,
you know you are hearing real Texas music in an
authentic TEXAS HONKY TONK.
Guests from all over the world have danced on the sawdust
covered floor at the Silver Dollar Bar for a century in
the COWBOY CAPITOL OF THE WORLD.
HANK WILLIAMS SR. carved his name on the bar beside
other legends of yester-year.
You can almost feel their presence when you walk down
the steps and meet your host, ARKEY BLUE.
Young Kathy Timm is a recent addition to Arkey's group
and sings lead vocals, harmonies and backup.
Born in Brownsville, Texas, she grew up in Alaska and
came to Bandera by way of Las Vegas. She is a
pleasant addition to the Hill Country Music Scene.

Looks Like a Winner
author: Texas Entertainment JournalLegitimate hill country cowboy songs. Guest performances by Willie Nelson give it even more legitimacy. Produced by Ron Knuth at Willie's Spicewood Studio.
Good legitimte honky tonk sounds.
author: Ollie Johnson: Good Golly OllieThis old cowboy and his girl singer do sound good-as-snuff. Just makes me want to holler along with them like Willie does.
