Whipping together tasty ingredients like soulful grooves and alternative rock, the result is fresh, organic Indie Pop.

notes

After releasing several successful indie albums on her own, Mary Arden Collins listened to the voices inside her head telling her that it was time for a new adventure. Keeping the pop melodies and poetic lyrics intact, ARDEN of EDEN was born, adding new musical collaborations and white go-go boots.

With a new name and an extra dose of inspiration, ARDEN of EDEN’s album, Love Street, is anything but the usual singer/songwriter melodrama. Whipping together tasty ingredients like soulful grooves and alternative rock, the result is fresh, organic Indie Pop. Long before its official release, Love Street made waves in TV (Criminal Minds and Joan of Arcadia) and film (The Thing About My Folks and Solstice).

Inspired by a variety of life experiences from lust to love, from the political to the spiritual, ARDEN of EDEN will take you on a stimulating journey, while trying to save the world… and still help you remember why you fell in love with music to begin with.

You can listen to this CD over and over and find some wonderful nuance each time. I love Mary's silky voice, musicianship her hopeful outlook. She and her fellow musicians (including an awesome bass player) take you on an adventure and each cut is different with the unifying theme of love. Every song is now a favorite but now I am particularly partial to Dimming of the Day and Don't be Afraid. Anyone would be lucky to have this in their CD collection. I've known Mary as a fellow musician and friend for several years and her kind personality is reflected in her sweet, soulful voice and original songs.

As a new fan of Mary Arden Collins, I was lucky enough to catch her Arden of Eden live show on September 25th in Arden, Delaware. I like to consider myself a discenrning listener and a bit of 'snob,' but the band's incredible performance, along with Mary's fantastic songwriting and great voice totally won me over! Buy this album!

It should be called "Love Album" because you'll love this one! The songs are honest, yet haunting and with a tasteful amount of production values. The lyrics are compelling and "take you there" without pushing. A treat for the ears, the mind and the soul. Truly one of a kind.

  • Love Street is a street I'd love to live on!

Love Street could quite possibly be the best undiscovered album I've ever heard. I like finding new artists that aren't mainstream yet, and by yet, I mean Arden of Eden definitely will be soon. Instead of skipping through to songs that are actually worthwhile, you can set this CD on random and listen with ease...because every song is amazing! The lyrics are meaningful (unlike many commerically produced songs these days) and the music is so perfectly performed you can't help but smile. It's a perfect blend of blues, jazz, pop, rock, alternative and indie. You won't be dissapointed with this album!

  • Absolutely Brilliant!

I'm really impressed with Mary Arden Collin's voice on this CD. She has a such a sweet and strong voice, it satisfied my craving! I found all the songs to be refreshing. My favorite tracks are 'Magic Child', 'One More Day', 'Powerless' and 'The Light'. The opening cello part on 'Powerless' is amazing, that song is so hauntingly beautiful every time I listen .... which is on repeat! I've seen them live and her bass playa Mark Gorman is amazing! And Mary you'll just have to see!.....'Love Street' is her go-go boot playground!

  • WOW!!!!

Some of the best new music out there! Check out "Someday" and "Mississippi", my personal favorites! Arden of Eden's version of "Dimming of the Day" is one of those covers that is better than the original.
