notes
Aphile hails from Baltimore, MD. The band is the by-product of 5 "free agents" of other regional acts (3dB, Ives Law, Zero Frequency, Supine, MoonTree and Pete's Sake), who, upon combining talent and sweat, created something more powerful than anything experienced individually in their previous outfits.
Aphile is an outrageous musical blender of tight-buzz-chord-crunch guitars, lower-than-bottom-hugging bass, dead-on-anvil-to-the-head drums, and crisp-throaty vocals with melodic and harmony interplay that plead out the song's lyrics with strength and anti-brat sophistication.
Aphile have shared the stage with several acts including 2 Skinnee J's, Sev, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, N.E.R.D, Hot Action Cop, The Clipse, and Five Iron Frenzy. Look for them to create a buzz through out the coming year.

wow....just....yea wow!
author: Kennyi have been waiting for this CD to come out since i saw them play at a show on my birthday with Gold Mind Squad on Jan. 30, 2004, and dayum was the wait well worth it. it was prolonged due to my having to go for basic training before it came out, but the CD is just insane! Lost Yourself is a killer track with a good message, and Words is and awesome end to an awesome CD! Way to start hard and end strong guys! my favorite song would have to be Leaving tho. Thanks for being so awesome, it boggles my mind why you arent on a major label yet!
LIKE DAT! They need to get an awnser!!!!!
author: GERANIMOPersonally I believe this CD covers all areas of our generation, also the generations to come. I believe that any record label would be stupid not to sign them after hearing their music. They have their own sound and style plus they just straight up ROCK!!!! - and i'm out. -D.O.
Waiting for an answer
author: Michelle MalebrancheWaiting for an answer by the band APHILE does exactly as the title states. It finally gives music lovers an answer to all the horrible music being produced and bought lately. Many people listen to music and buy cds because it's on the radio, they don't stop to consider if it's good or not. As an experienced music lover I can say this cd is amazing. Every song has become personal to me in one way or another. When i'm having a worthless day I listen to miracle and remember things are as they should be. If i'm having a bad day I put on California and dream about cali life. I could go on to describe the significance of each of these songs to me, however, I believe your best option is to purchase this cd and let it embrace your heart as it has mine.
Rocks My World!
author: Heather T.This Local Band rocks my world. An amazing mix of songs that anyone could like no matter what music they listen too. You gotta get this CD!!!!
tight melodies, solid production, a modern sound, and catchy songs
author: Brad Cox--Music Monthly MagazineWith tight melodies, solid production, a modern sound, and catchy songs, Aphile is a blend of The Used, AFI and Yellowcard. This is definitely WHFS’s turf – there is no question why they were chosen for the semi-finals of the big-break contest; and would later become a finalist! Swim, the second track on the album, introduces their hip-hop background and than it is right back to the hooks, which make this genre of music so successful in the mainstream market. The sound is fresh. Aphile is an existential departure from the above-mentioned influences, with a bit of New Found Glory and 311 ringing out. It is clear the boys in Aphile spared no expense in creating a professional product. The artwork design and layout, alone, done by Jeff Brown, was probably the most professional; in terms of marketing, that has landed on my desk – yet! Miracle was solid, and Define had a dark hip-hop feel; almost like an early Limp Bizkit record – more screaming than I was expecting – I love it! Frank Marchand (Waterford Digital Audio) has got to be one of the best producers in the area, and this album reinforces his charismatic authoritative ownership/influence, adding another bullet into his arsenal of solid works. The album is consistent. If I were to offer an ounce of criticism, I would like to hear the band capture some experimental moments/sounds on tape; but, in all fairness, they have found a formula - and it works! Round is fun, lyrically and musically. Yard $ale had an intense breakdown and even some Third Eye Blind vibes ringing out, excellent; definitely my favorite track on the album! Overall, this is a great album, and I highly recommend checking it out – expect a lot from this band in 2004. Feel free to “… drop your worst days on top of …” Baltimore – anytime!!
Great big sound, in overdrive!

ROCK HARD
author: HandsomeI've never heard a local band CD with so many singles on it. Every song blends from one to another. The lyrics are intense and addictive and I can't get them out of my head sometimes. There is not a single song I dont like. I do wish you guys had put the long time song on this one. That means I gots to get the new one or go to your show to hear it! In one word this record is EMPOWERING.
