notes
inspired by & conceived for the car environment - a trippy ride of songfeels - arranged for layers of synths, horns, guitars, vocals, bass, drums, & percussion - from this enigmatic artist whose avant-garde contributions to the disparate genres of: rap, freejazz, rock, prog-rock, electroacoustic, the use of synthesizers - have identified her as a truly radical and existential presence.

31:31 -Annette Peacock
author: Michael GouldI've been a fan of Annette's music since first seeing her on a UK news programme showcasing I'm The One so it is brilliant to get a new album. Many years later here she is still pursuing her individual path between jazz and the avant garde. As always her music is laid back but you need to listen to the words and emotions she expresses to really get a sense of where she is coming from. Annette Peacock is an aquired taste but worth it if you want something offthe well worn musical path.
Alain from Strasbourg, France
she´s the one
author: Hermann from Germanynothing more to say - a very good cd with all on it Annette Peacock stands for: music which comes from the heart to the heart.
Réminiscence
author: LE GALLO J.-Y.Pourquoi écouter A. Peacock me fait il penser à Billie Holiday? Une âme? Le courage d'être elle même sans concession? Magnifique!
More Attention!
author: Rasmus from DenmarkGot the CD and it's great. I think A. Peacock needs more attention. Her records are very hard to find, but so interesting...
A piece of happines
author: Bernard from FranceAn exceptional sensuality, the beauty of the voice, of the music, of the arrangements... and of Annette. A new (X) dream, an upstream record, far away from the formatted and asseptized production. It is time that the world rediscovers Annette and its previous LP. With love. Thank you so much!

author: bernd boehmWhile ABSTRACT-CONTACT sounds a little too "cold" and "technical" ( although played by "real" instruments) here we have the Lady at her Best!!! The drums sound smooth without being soft, the bass is rolling down the floor, dancing around the melodies and keeping the whole thing in perfect order. Some guitar fragments, some synths...some reeds... And then this voice...from another world...has space enough to develope her magic...COOOOOL! This Lady is really paddling her own canoe... And I hope she will continue!

Ahh to be loved by this woman must be something else...
author: Cliff CoombsListening to this I get the feeling that Annette is singing just for me. That voice... I am old enough to own vinyl of x-dreams and the underated follow up The Perfect Release. 31:31 has a similar feel to the latter and it's great to hear and feel those warm analogue tones in harmony with 'that' voice once again. My copy goes for at least 62:62, 'cause yes, I play it more than once at a time. Please come to Australia soon?
This is the record to buy...
author: ZaidThis is the record to buy...if you still believe that those days of the CD/LP as an object are over. This is a beautifull piece of hand (home?) made artifact designed to hold, keep and transport that ethereal, movable art called music. You have the feeling that it's comming from the artist hands right to you. And the music...inspired and inspiring, beautifull, deep, etc. Must listen, and must have, you wont regret it.
Out of time
author: ribaultPrecisely the 31:31 CD is another stone on Annette Peacock's way. It cannot be disconnected from her whole art-dedicated life. This CD is another jewel in her creation field: rare, discret, short, but so warm, energy-renewing and out of time. 31 mn 31 sec out of time.
well worth the 20 years wait!
author: RichardThere is no doubt that Annette Peacock is a genius - this CD confirms it. Her music has evolved from 'I'm the one' through to 'Abstract Contact' (and if haven't bought that do it NOW) to 31:31 - more confident, controlled, sparse, mesmerising, haunting. Everything about it is beautiful - the CD cover is hand produced, signed and numbered (mine's 145) and it's a limited edition (though I don't know how limited) - but buy it now because when word gets out, and it will, you'll be desperate to buy it on ebay at any cost.
A gift from High Priestess to the individual
author: AlexiosI received Annette Peacock’s new album in the mail today, and it’s been a joy to behold on more than one level. The packaging is immaculate, original as it is accomplished, while the (signed and numbered) CD and artwork has been lovingly wrapped in a see-through layer before being sealed with an “Ironic” label. Annette’s music speaks to the individual in each of us, which is why it is so hard to rate any of her albums. They come from a pure place – she’s definitely not imitating anybody. How do you rate individual expression? Once I’ve broken the seal I’ll write another review about its contents, but for now I savour the promise of what lies inside. Long may she reign.
