Andy uses his captivating storytelling abilities to invite children to use their imaginations as they "travel" to different places such as the "Andy's" Mountains, and meet different characters like Shiny (the talking sun), Squirrelly Squirrel, and Blue the Rat. Andy's exceptional songwriting ability is showcased as he uses different musical genres at each "destination" such as country, hip-hop, blues, and Irish music. "I have been a performing artist and singer/songwriter for 20 years, but I first realized my ability to connect with children through music when I began playing local farmer's markets in the San Francisco Bay area. I noticed that the kids were particularly drawn to me and my music. Some would even insist their parents stop and listen."

"In the following weeks, I started incorporating children's songs into my sets, and the response from children and adults was very positive. Now, I almost exclusively perform for children both as a solo artist and with my group 'The Andyland Band'. "

  • Great for kids and adults!

    Our 4 year-old daughter, my wife and I have been listening to this a lot lately, and we all love it! The songs are great on their own, but Andy has put a lot of thought in arranging them together in a narrative of sorts, as we take a tour of Andyland, riding on a boat, going to a party, meeting his friends, etc. The songs are done in a variety of musical styles and Andy takes on a number of different personas with different accents. There are a few really funny parts that adults can appreciate, the songs are great from a purely musical perspective, and kids find everything fascinating and endlessly entertaining. This is a great kids' CD!

    My kids LOVE this guy! They will come running when his music comes on and say "andy z!" they dont do that for any of the other dozens of kids artists we own and play. I also have to say, as an adult... I even like the music! All of his CDs are fun, funny, very original, and catchy. I catch myself humming his stuff in my head. I highly recommend all 3 of his CDs. Worth every penny. :)

    This CD takes the listener on a virtual adventure thru Andyland, encouraging kids to use their imagination while being musically entertained. Our 2 year surprises from time to time by singing the songs with/without the disk.

    My son, 2 1/2 loves this CD. Everytime we get in the car he requests the Andy Z CD! In fact we often use it as a bribe tool to get him in his car seat. His favorite song is the dinosaur song and Mommy's favorite is the Alphabet song! The CD is very catchy and fun to sing along! My son practically has all the words memorized and we've only had it for a couple of weeks!

    Our children 4 1/2 and 2 daily request Andyland. And on their own accord, SIT DOWN and listen to it! The storytelling quality captivates them. The music is dance-able for all ages. Deep in sleep, in the middle of the night our 2 year old son yelled out, "I need Andy!"

    This is really a great CD, probably one of our top 1-2 children's albums. Our son Brendan, who's 2 1/2, asks for it constantly, and fortunately it's good enough for adults to enjoy too. Andy goes through a number of different musical styles, and his sense of humor infuses everything. A truly wonderful album!
