Analogue I/O is a studio project created by Thom Smith encapsulating the sound of ambient tape music with a dark cinematic edge.
His Debut EP “Boat Club” was recorded in his own studio and has a real subtle beauty, capturing the images of distant landscapes and far away places as are the inspiration behind the music.
The featured tracks consist mainly of looped riffs fused with digitally processed sounds. A large array of instruments were used throughout the recording.
Although there are no current plans to promote the record in a live environment Thom will still be working on future projects for Analogue I/O and further collaborations with other artists.
You can download a free copy of the EP on the first week of it's release either through the bands Myspace site or from their record label Skyeyesea.
The EP "Boat Club" is scheduled for release on 28th April 2008.
