This was the message of the week in Amy's diary on day one of recording this album.
I met Derek Johnson (Producer) when Amy did a set at Glastonbury Festival June 2004 .
January 2005 Derek had booked the Gateway Studio
with Steve Lowe (Engineer) and three of the best musicians and nicest people I have met.
Jose Joyette (Drums and Percussion)
Alpheous Little (fretted/fretless bass)
Chris Wilson (Piano)
It was then later mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Sean Magee.

Sometimes in our lives we get the distinct feeling that something has taken control of the direction of our lives. The universe was making way for these songs to emerge.
I have witnessed the seed turning to a flower..
From an amazing sequence of events this album has taken form.

author: FenelaAmy played for my 50th birthday (some years ago now!!) in my house and I have loved her music ever since...after the intervening years of gigs in pubs around North Devon and the amazing Oceanfest sets, I am in seventh heaven to be able to sit here listening while I work!! All I can say is roll on the next album!!

Bought Lost for Words on the strength of that, and has been in my top 3 albums ever since (about 3 months). Amy is a master on her guitar, and I would recommend the album to all who like to listen to lyrics, and maybe have Jack Johnson, Ryan Adams, k. d. lang, Mary Chapin Carpenter and so many more on their shelves. Summer Lovin Album

I think listening to her play live and the chilled summer sound of her voice is where we started to fall in Love it's still really special to both of us. Thanks for that Amy. Emotional and Inspirational

Lost for Words has managed to capture all the energy and passion Amy produces on the main stage and is extremely refreshing to hear. Every song has character and leaves you with a sense of emotional gratification. They each set you thinking in a differnt direction and fill you with inspiration. For me "Lost Without You" really moves me with its deep rhythmic melody and flowing waterfall of notes. Amys voice is clear and smooth and her guitar work is clean crisp and truly exceptional. Buy this album if you are remotely passionate about pure music.

Former LIPA student and singer/songwriter/guitarist Amy releases a debut collection of crafted, delicate and tender homegrown songs which caress the soul and twist expectations. Fans of Everything but the Girl will love the title track and its sympathetic tale of devotion and regret, which is perfect for those late night romantic hours when mere words are never enough. Smooth lead guitar on the jazz-inflected ‘Now’ follows and once we reach ‘When I think of you’ and ‘All made sense’, the fingerprints of the divine Joni Mitchell are clearly seen. But Amy retains a style and maturity of her very own and backed by Alpheous Little (bass), Chris Wilson (piano) plus Jose Joyette (drums) she has delivered an excellent album which illustrates her potential. Remember her name.

I first heard Amy's song fly on the surf dvd 'The long way round" and since then have been trying to get hold of a CD. I got one last month and haven't stopped listening to it.I love the guitar lead in "Now". Your not just a strummer are you?

After seeing Amy perform at Glastonbury I had to get the album. Through many drunken and muddy nights afterwards I managed to remember her name and get hold of her album when I got home. I listen to the album all the time, and love it to pieces.
