Amity Records announces the debut of Farzad's "From My Heart" in The Music Review's Top 100 chart.


FARZAD, an international violinist and composer, began playing the violin at the age of six. After receiving his diploma in classical music, he earned his Bachelor's degree in music from Indiana University in Bloomington and his Master's degree in performance and composition from the University of North Texas. He has performed with numerous orchestras including the Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Symphony and Houston Ballet, Pop and Opera Orchestras. He held the concert master position in the National Symphony of Ecuador and was designated as the concertmaster of the orchestra for the Second Baha'i World Congress in New York City.

FARZAD is currently giving solo concerts in Europe, Canada, the United States and south America. One of his recent interests is rearranging folkloric music and bringing together various musical traditions.

Farzad has brought together not only a cross cultural, oriental and occidental, style of music, but he has also composed, arranged, played and created this beautiful and heart touching album by using various styles of music and techniques, from acoustic to electronic, eastern folklore to western classical. He has merged technology and tradition to demonstrate the concept of the unity in diversity of humanity.

This instrumental album by Farzad,is mostly modified Persian folkloric music with several original tunes by Farzad. Some of the pieces have been arranged for the violin and orchestra and use both Western and Non-Western styles, forming a pleasing fusion of both. These selections are great for meditation, entertainment, multimedia, film or video production. Listeners from ages 4 to 80 have expressed very positive responses to this collection of inspiring music.
