Most recently ALLIGATOR STEW was the opening act for LYNYRD SKYNYRD in Reno Nevada. They brought the house down and kicked some major ass!!!!They are selling out shows everywhere in the midwest.Nominated Best Southern Rock Band in Los Angeles by Rock City News Magazine.

Gary's group was MTV viewers favorite band for eight weeks, their video beating out such groups as Tesla, The Cult, Infectious Grooves and several others.

    This band is amazing. None of the bands Im mentioning here even come close to a release, as melodic, well produced, or well written as this. Here are the bands, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, The Eagles....and I could go on. They play Incredibly well, and the tracks are so well written, that I fall flat on my butt, whenever I hear it. When I write NONE of the bands, I mean NONE of the bands. Alligator Stew are amazing. Not 1 bad track, and I can honestly say, that they should offer a 100% moneyback guarantee on CDBABY, If you dont like this cd.

    There is not a bad sond on the CD. Each and everyone is great. With the great vocals and masterful guitar playing this band should go far. I especially love Rose Thorn Bed and Blood Money. I think Gary's version of Green River is as good as if not better than CCR's version.

    This cd is so freakin incredible,I'm a Lynyrd Skynrd fan from the early days,Southern Rock is my favorite music and this cd is now my favorite southern rock cd!!!!!!! I bought it after hearing the singer in a Dayton club doing an acoustic performance of the song Voodoo Spell,which literally stole the show that night.He announced he had a cd on cd baby.com with a group Alligator Stew, and I now own it.I am so impressed with the cd.It has so many great songs that should be on the radio.Its hard to find a cd that has 11 great songs on one cd. But really this cd has not one bad song on it. I guarentee if you are a fan of southern rock ,you will flip on this cd. Long live Southern Rock!!!

    The Alligator Stew cd has a real cool vibe about it,Its a little bit of a different sound ,at times it has a country vibe ,and at other times a boogie sound.I like the fact that I can understand what the singer is singing and was very impressed with the lyrics.The singer has a unique raspy voice that makes him stand out from other singers.The piano had a Jerry Lee Lewis style and put that up with a slide guitar,(and this guy is a bad ass slide player)and it kinda had a bayou vibe or a cajun sound and yes I liked the harmonica too.I especially liked Two Wheels since I ride a motorcycle and can relate to what they are sayin.I recommend this album to anyone that likes southern style rock-n-roll with just a touch of the mississippi delta by way of Bourbon St.

Im located in Denmark and havent been so excited since I heard the first Van Halen, Destroyer(Kiss), Double Trouble (Molly Hatchet), 1991 (Lynyrd Skynyrd)and Highway Song(Blackfoot) This release is to me up with the best and the albums I just mentioned always makes me happy when I listen to them. At times the singer sounds like James Hetfield of METALICA and at othes Ronnie VanZant.
