notes
Allan Holdsworth has captivated audiences with a unique and expressive style of guitar playing that has won him a devoted fan base.
Well-known in musical circles, he has performed with such artists as Jean Luc Ponty, Tony Williams, Bill Bruford, Stanley Clarke, Gordon Beck, and Chad Wackerman, and groups such as John Heisman’s Tempest, UK, Planet X, and Soft Machine.
In 1980, his own brand of jazz-fusion would be more personally realized after he set out on his own to record his first solo effort, I.O.U. featuring Gary Husband and Paul Carmichael.
Look for several new Holdsworth releases due out in late 2007.

Always a joy
author: Paul MarangoniSome great stuff here, although I.O.U. will probably always be my favourite. Vinnie's solo on "Against The Clock" (the only track he's on) is worth the price of admission alone.
A Masterpiece
author: Justin BlantonThis is the Allan Holdsworth desert island album. Every track is absolutely stunning. If I had two choose my favorite pieces, I would have to say Zarabeth and Sphere of Innocence. If you already own the original, it's definitely worth buying the re-issue for the alternate version of Tokyo Dream.
Horrible cover -- amazing music!!
author: karsten gareisAn amazing recording in a truly awful cover. The three extra tracks are worth the price of admission alone. Gary Husband's performance is a special delight on this CD. Go for it!!!
Classic Al
author: Philip Brownthis is one of the greatest CD's ever recorded. I bought the additional tunes listed here but remember the Unmerry Go Round is only 5 minutes with part 1 and 2 combined . Personally these extra songs aren't worth it if you already have the previous version . But if you don't have it then go and ahead and get this one !
STILL AMAZED
author: REYNALDO ORELLANAMY GOD... THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE ALLAN FIGURED OUT, HE HITS YOU WITH A PUNCH AND A TOUCH OF LEMON, SO FAR SIXTEEN MAN OF TAIN IS MY FAVORITE HOLDSWORTH ALBUM, BUT THIS ONE IS RIGHT UP THERE.
Musician
author: JeffAbsolutely stunning! Allan's playing and compositions are complex yet beautiful! Buy it!
too good to be true
author: Osamu SaitohPerfect! Nothing to say.
My favorite....
author: Daren BurnsThis is my favorite CD of Allan's. Compositions are excellent and playing is as good. I like most of Allan's music, but this CD is consistent from beginning to end. A must have.
Dimensional Gateway
author: David BagsbyMr. Holdsworth show us again that he is a nexus to a fantastic universe. He certainly deserves to be on the cover of Guitar Player time and again.
Wardenclyffe Tower
author: bernardThis album really is a highlight in progressive instrumental guitar music and certainly one of Allan's most outstanding; the album differs from other recordings of Allan through its overall mystical and dark atmosphere; including the three bonus tracks this CD makes it a real must for any Allan Holdsworth fanatic
Wardenclyffe Tower
author: Michael WhitfordA STUNNING album from Allan "Zeus" Holdsworth! I already owned the original version of this CD, but had to get this release for the bonus tracks. ARE THERE ANY PLANS TO RELEASE MORE HOLDSWORTH CD's WITH BONUS TRACKS? If so, I AM SO THERE!!! PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED!!!
Wardenclyffe Tower
author: Jeffrey LindThis is one of Allan's classic albums from the 90's. It is essentially the import Wardenclyffe+3 at a much lower cost than previously available. Highly recommended.
