notes

"Dragonfly bubbles with positive energy and coherently covers an impressive range of styles and moods from beginning to end...Arthur has put together one of the best albums of the year!"

--Wilton Elder, Program Director, radioioJAM.com

"...the substance and confidence you hear through its 13 cuts is no illusion, but the product of a guy who's hitting his stride not one minute too soon. Dragonfly showcases Land's buoyant concoction."

--David Kirby, Boulder Weekly

"The album is extremely good...Land is coming up with his own acoustic rock sound, at its best on the title track."

--Stewart Oksenhorn, The Aspen Times

"...fresh musical innovation....Lee Land is moving and captures my imagination."

--Paul J. Goetz, The Canyon Current

"...Land's uplifting hybrid...an earth-toned blend of djembe, congas and every unplugged bluegrass instrument this side of the jug...well-penned...satisfying long-player."

--John La Briola, The Denver Westword

"Dragonfly is one of my favorite albums!"

--Dan Topolski, Jammed Online Music Magazine

"Afrograss folk-rock is an ambitious hybrid combining drumming styles that Land picked up on a trip to West Africa with bluegrass, folk and acoustic rock. It's soulful, spiritual music that's meant to "open the heart and bring joy into people's lives," he says."

--Eric Schmidt, Boulder Daily Camera

"The Latest Fusion: Afrograss...it is hard denying that this unique vision has great potential."

--Glenn Burnsilver, Fort Collins Weekly

  • Excellent music!
    author: Nancy

A friend sent me the link, I listened for about 5 seconds and ordered the Cd. Reminscent for me, of an unknown artist that I used to walk around the corner and listen to in Vancouver, WA named Kelly Joe Phelps. I have not heard anything this good since Kelly's Lead Me On CD. In fact, Dragonfly, is much better. I can't stop listening to it. I can't wait until you come to the Pacific Northwest!

  • Listen to the cut "Dragonfly" on repeat--it'll make you feel happy all day!

Arthur's music makes me happy. The joy he puts into the songs is palpable. I listen to the cut "Dragonfly" on repeat in the car on long drives--can't get enough of it.

  • Good Vibes
    author: Jeffrey Kleinops

Arthur is an impressive individual. His music inspires your soul and revitalizes the mind. His eyes tell the story, watching him live is an incredible experience....it's kind of like looking into the eyes of a child, full of imaginationand wonder. His playful mannerisms spark the kid within us to come out. He is, as matter of fact, one big kid or as he puts it "the poster child for ritilin." He dances around the stage playing different instuments and creating wonderful music. Arthur is a treat to listen and to see perform....in my eyes he has more talent then his rival Keller Williams.....his genere is unique and his sound is cutting edge. Arthur great job and keep on. --jeff
