Album Notes

Alkaline is an independent artist, who has spent years perfecting his craft. Being an MC who dares to think outside the box, Alkaline speaks about the obvious yet untapped topics such as, being "chubby", a self professed procrastinator, domestic violence and positive relationships with women. But you can definitely expect different lyrical styles, ranging from conversational measured tones to rapid-fire bragging and boasting to old school nostalgia. A B-Boy at heart with years of DJing and song making experience, Alkaline has almost singlehandedly composed his debut album. Using beats tailor made for him by Nate Black, Alkaline has written, arranged, recorded, mixed and co-produced "HEAR IT IS". He even self produced four songs, and laced all of the cuts and scratches. Rounding out productions are DJ Rob and Terrence "Mad Broke" Argrow, who each produced a song. Guest appearances on the album include: MC's, Power Born from 7th Octave and Ghetto Sweets. Singers: Dontae, Krystal and Alkalines children. This album is brought to you by the executive producers, Allen Campbell and Carlton Murray of First Cuzins Entertainment.

Whew! So, so Refreashing! Your topic choices are the highlights of this album. They are common, yet are never written about in Hip Hop. This is that 30 something Hip Hop. Bro, you're a pioneer simply because of the subject matter you chose ... and you pulled the songs off. They're HOT! I love it! Congratulations and Good Luck. I'm glad you finally did it ... and with no budget! That's what I'm talking about! Make a way or get out the way! Peace-

This CD is tight to def. If someone doesn't give this man a deal, they're crazy. Dope beat, crazy lyrics, and the subject matter is definitely what the hip-hop world needs. Keep doing positive things cubby brother.
