"graphicvulgarlunacy vol.II: Jacoby Appliance Parts" is not a standup album. It is not comedy sketches. It is easier to say what it is rather than what it is not. This is a CD of stories. It was recorded in South Jersey on 12.28.2006 in front of a select group of people. This album is a representation of that evening. Also, I guess, of all the experiences and choices that I've made in my life up to and including that night. Listen to it.
In 2000, my Aunt died and left me a bit of cash. I wanted to use it to do a comedy CD. It would have been a sketch album or some other nonsense. Needless to say, I went off the deep end and used the money to buy booze and drugs and candles and whatnot. Now, 7 years later, I finally completed the project.
These tracks are true. As true as they can be after being filtered through my memories and the passage of time. Names have been changed to protect the guilty. If you buy this CD, please do not give it to my grandmother, as it will break her heart.
This CD is not for children. It is not for people easily offended by stories with explicit sexual content. Again, it is not for my Grandmother. Maybe you shouldn't buy it. Whatever. Do what you got to do. In the end, I have finally completed a project that has trapped part of my soul since the Dark Days.
Enjoy it and share it with others.

the gamut from hilarious to harrowing with sidetrip to touching

There's a literally sophmoric roadtrip which features a maybe-yes, maybe-no taste of life's hidden pleasures, some family vignettes, an ideal job with a non-ideal co-worker -- fairly normal sounding stuff. It ain't normal. A bit like eating Nepalese Temple ball hashish -- everything's fine but the horizon has shifted 15 degrees. Don't not try to get your bearings; that will only make you throw up. Just sit back and watch the world through a pair of eyeballs that are seeing things you never dreamed of.
