The best way to describe Killswitch is to imagine yourself pissed off at the world and everyone in it.
Grabbing your favorite baseball bat and busting everything in sight.
The TV, the microwave, every light fixture you can find, tables, chairs, windows etc.
What a release that would be.
But since we can't afford to buy a house and bust it up (although that would kick ass) we leave you with affliction Killswitch.
It's got balls. It knocks you on your ass. It's far from corporate. It's very hard to take out of your CD player. It's "Killswitch" by Affliction.
If you like Slipknot, Machine Head, or Static X, you'll love this CD.
9 blistering tracks, thick, melodic, orgasmic, and just plain phat!
Play it loud, play it often, and piss off your neighbors.

author: Raychul - Nosebleed17Affliction is a five piece band out of the Milwaukee area, who has some unique qualities and a thrash-metal sound to them. The band is made up of two vocalists, Justin Kemp & Dean Gehrmann, gutarist, Dave Fontaine, bassist, Tony Kangas, and drummer, Jereme Brauch. The together have released their lastest effort entitled Killswitch, which consists of nine tracks, through Fa-Q Records. From the first song, "Stagnant", I loved this CD. It got my attention right off with it's hard hitting sound, low tunes, and heavy style, and that song still remains my favorite. Affliction is led by vocalists who illustrate their ability to sing, but most of the time are screaming and growling with much ferocity. The guitar and bass have a low, catchy sound that just make your head move without any effort at all, the drums are good also, and throw in some good double bass every once in a while. They have some pretty nice samples in the music also, one of which I recognized from Silence of the Lambs, and other that I have heard before but can't really place. Songs to check out: "Stagnant", "Nemesis", & "Deny Everything", all of which are available at their MP3.com site. Definitely check these guys out if you are looking for some heavy, angry shit to blow you away. Nosebleed17 Rating: 9/10
Power driven heavy metal

If you have an anger displacemtent problem, I suggest that you aren't in the same room with someone else while listening to Affliction, you just might break them in half. These heavy/thrash metal maniacs destroy everything around them. As the line in the song "Nemisis" suggests, "To get peoples attention these days, you can't just tap them on the shoulder, you have to hit them with a sledgehammer". If I had to pick one heavy metal band to prosper off of this web site, I would have to go with Affliction. They have everything that it takes to break down the era of the Backstreet Boys and all those other gay boy bands. And I have to give it to them, the one wearing the Fox shirt is just damn cool! (Sorry, partial to BMX and Motocross) If anyone out here can find a problem with this band, well, then YOU SUCK! Favorite Songs : Nemesis, Mercy Killer, and Just One Bullet Rating : 10 +!!!
Badass In Your Face Shit!!!
author: EverybodyIn a sea of new heavy bands it's nice to hear some old school guitar and vocal styles. The vocals are tight and well controlled. Less Korn and more Suicidal/Slayer is a welcome change from the new wave of metal.
