Guitar obsessive and perennial indie kid Derrick Dalton gives free rein to his flights of musical fancy under the moniker Aeromodeller. 'First Flight',
an album of uplifting, instrumental guitar pop -- steering a course somewhere between The Smiths, The Shadows and Durutti Column.-- was recorded as a solo project by Dalton in one week in 2007. The album is by no means Dalton's maiden voyage into the Dublin music scene, however. Musical co-pilots have included hardcore rockers Mexican Pets, poptastic indie boys Crumb, and 'C86' band and John Peel favourites Hey Paulette. Fasten your seatbelts for a majestic take-off.
