Fast becoming one of Australia’s most recognised jazz talents, Adrian Cunningham, along with his quartet have just recorded their 3rd album together, but with a new and exciting twist.
Described as "Outstanding young jazz talent" by The Australian newspaper, Adrian, who is the current saxophonist with Australia’s most well known Jazz Group Galapagos Duck, is making his mark on the Aussie jazz scene – being one of the first groups to release a live DVD, including DVD commentary.
Adrian was nominated for two MO Awards for 2005: Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year and Best Jazz Group (Adrian Cunningham Quartet).
Featuring Adrian on saxes and woodwinds, Bill Risby on piano, Dave Pudney on double bass and Gordon Rytmeister on Drums, "In Motion: The Live Sessions" was recorded as a double CD/DVD at Sydney's prime jazz venue The Sound Lounge in October of last year.
