notes
"I had the distinct pleasure of meeting both Moacir Santos and his music more than five years aog, during the time my brother, Mario Adnet, was producing the OURO NEGRO project with Ze Nogueira. Having been invited to appear as a guest vocalist on OURO NEGRO allowed my friendship and respect for Moacir and his work to blossom. It was very natural for me to come up with the idea of recording Moacir's beautiful compositions, and those which specifically featured lyrics."
Adapted from the liner notes by Muiza Adnet.

Magical Inspiration
author: Gilbert LopezMuiza's interpretation of and collaboration with Moacir Santos is one of life's great moments. Her gentle use of the musical structure is instinctive as well as skilled and leaves the listener laughing in appreciation as someone simply gets something that is not so easily explained as demonstrated. This will be added to my own memories of Santos, one of the best being his performance leading the orchestra at a Carnival celebration in which he was wearing a clown costume and using a pair of cymbols in place of a baton.
