notes

A.D. is Mike Andrade, Brian daCosta, Devin Lacey & David Peters. The guys have weaved back and forth in & out of different projects with each other over several years, most notably the highly regarded 90's rock group, RULES OF PREY.

Finally, they put it all together under the A.D.banner. A.D. is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.Their music is hard dramatic rock, sometimes heavy, but always melodic.

Fans of the band's music appreciate their unique sound and song-style."Cost of Living" is A.D.'s debut EP. Mike, Brian, Devin & David were happy to accommodate the fans close to the band who were anxiously waiting for "Cost of Living" to become available. The band played only a handfull of live gigs and while they did enjoy some very fortunate attention from the mainstream media, they have since gone their seperate ways. Mike continues to write and record and has become very active in music producing. You can look in on him at www.mikeandrade.com

  • Reminds me of some GREAT times
    author: Lauren

I remember Mike & Devin from RULES OF PREY. This CD reminds of those hot times. My two girlfriends and I tried as hard as we could to be ROP groupies, but Mike wouldn't allow it. Damn he's talented! What a great band.(God, I hope my husband never sees this)This AD music puts me in mind of those days. That's what I like best about it. It's vibrator time.

  • STRONG MATERIAL ( I'd follow this singer anywhere) BUT.......
    author: Jeff Klaven

When I imagine what this CD would sound like with a drummer like Greg Bissonette,Jimmy deGrasso,Scott Rockenfield,Joey Kramer, Teri Bozio or anyone else who matches up better with this otherwise excellent group,I get jump-up-and-down excited. But,when you just listen to it as is, you can hear why A.D. isn't a national success. The general public won't imagine past the weak drums like I do. I got a thrill, but it's a near miss.

  • Promising Rock Act!
    author: Bob Sterling

Great guitar playing! The songs are solid and catchy. The only problem I had with it was that the backup vocals were a little too loud in the mix.

  • Collectors item?
    author: Jim Neal

This CD is one of the best I have ever heard. I have no doubt that as it gains more exposure, we may one day mention it in the same way that we talk about "the wall" or the "white" albums. I plan on getting a copy for everyone I know.
