notes
"Far Away Blues", Adam Carroll's third studio album, showcases the idiosyncratic songwriting style that has endeared Adam to fans and critics alike and has earned him comparisons to folks like John Prine, Todd Snider and Townes Van Zandt. Lloyd Maines' production retains the intimacy of Adam's previous albums while filling the sound out significantly Ray Wylie Hubbard lends his pen and voice to the cause by co-writing and singing on "Last Day of Grace". Find out what folks in Texas have been learning for the last few years-Adam Carroll is the real deal!
"Carroll looks to be the latest great Texas songwriter to graduate from Townes Van Zandt State...John Prine with a big dose of Butch Hancock." -Michael Corcoran, Austin American Statesman

Great Album!
author: MichaelI first saw Adam at a festival in Canada called Cicada Fest and was blown away by the songs and the smooth guitar playing. I loved everything he played and so naturally I bought this CD. It is truly a work of art, every track genius! I love it.
Fantastic Album!
Didn't think anything could top Screen Door. Far Away Blues is phenomenal from start to finish. Adam Carroll is an extremely talented singer/songwriter.

all of Adam's music is ridiculous. I have never heard anyone with this amount of talent in song writing and guitar playing. I love every CD. I go out of my way to catch every show that is near me. He's funny on stage and he has a way with the crowd.
another outstanding bunch of songs from Adam Carroll.
author: Brian MainsI bought this CD after being completely blown away by Screen Door. It's rare that you love every song on a CD, but in the case of Far Away Blues every song is a gem. Adam's songwriting is intelligent and original. I would encourage everyone to listen, you'll be hooked!
Far Away Blues is not Far Away from Awesome
author: PaulI have listened to the CD everyday since I got it! Rice Birds takes me back to the LA bar and drinkin 10 ounce beers in Lake Arthur,LA and is now my favorite next to Errol’s Song but that's due to my Louisiana Roots. Alright is more than just alright, Dream on, All the way, Love Song for my Family and Low in the Mountains are the kind of songs that got me to liking his music to start with! I hope it won't be so long until the next one comes out! Great Album! Worth every dime!!
Great CD
author: Alain BarthelThis CD represents what is best about independent production. Great job Adam can't wait for the next album.
A new legend: Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Adam Carroll!
author: Roberta MannThe first time I heard Adam Carroll's music I couldn't imagine who I had missed hearing or seeing as I was growing up;at 46 I thought I'd heard them all. Far Away Blues encompasses all of the finest qualities you've ever heard in the best of Blue Grass, Folk and Country Western, with a twist of Adam's own. If you've ever enjoyed those genres and the Guthries, Dylan or Seeger, prepare to be wowed by a man who may prove to be the best of them.
top notch!
author: Will UnderwoodI think I waited for eternity for this album to come out! I love it just as much as all the other albums, if not more. I still can't believe that he picks/plays that fast, while playing the harmonica. I love it! Will
