The brand new album from ABE LABORIEL & FRIENDS featuring Vinnie Colaiuta, Paul Jackson jr, and Tom Brooks is here! The Project was recorded at a live concert in Zurich, Switzerland and features great performances by everyone including a tribute to Abe's late father, roaring live versions of songs from Paul's new album, a song written for Abe by Don Grusin, as well as a few 'Koinonia Classics'.

author: LaurentEven though I am not keen to support music linked to or promoting religious issues on any kind (am 100 % Atheist), I am a huge fan of Abe, Vinnie and Paul Jr. This album is an amazing live album showcasing the endless talent of the band members. It's an impressive collection of fantastically written and performed tunes. Contemporary jazz at the highest level. Fans of Paul Jackson Jr. will be delighted as he's given plenty of room to stretch out, something he seldom does on his excellent solo albums or in studio situations. The music is given royal treatment. The muscianship is ridiculous but the band makes sure that the songs be the center of interest. It's all about having fun playing. And for us on the other side of the speaker, it's all about fun listening ! This album is a timeless classic in my book.
